As part of NassCass’ approach to providing its clients turn-key services, NassCass maintains an in-house capacity to perform decommissioning activities following completion of remediation and issuance of a No Further Action determination from the regulatory authority. All decommissioning activities are performed in strict compliance with safety and health protocols and with consideration for minimizing any interference with ongoing onsite business activities.
Typical activities conducted for a site decommissioning action may include the following:
Equipment and field personnel mobilization.
Health and safety plan preparation, presentation and hazard analysis.
Fill, seal and plug remediation and monitoring wells.
Well vault and pad removal and surface restoration.
Demolition and removal of system compound and utility service lines.
Demolition and removal of system trench lines.
Remediation equipment removal and recycling or refurbishment.
Trench line surface restoration.
Site cleanup and debris removal.
Preparation and submitting of a decommissioning report.
